YANG IN LOS ANGELES: THE #YANGGANG'S ROAD TO THE WHITE HOUSE

With Andrew Yang holding a rally in downtown Los Angeles, I attended the rally to interview his supporters and find out what made him so appealing to them compared to other Democratic candidates.

I eventually interviewed Meena Kumar, a member of the Yang Gang, and curated an audio slideshow to summarize why this unlikely candidate was inspiring so many young, energetic voters.

The rally was very colorful, from green thousand-dollar bills with a portrait of Yang to blue rally posters flying everywhere. The challenging aspect in creating the audio slideshow was the interview process.

Since I was in the middle of a rally, I was worried that the crowd would drown out the interviewees. By reducing background noise in Adobe Audition, I was able to actually supplement the interview with an energetic crowd.
